There is this phenomenon, which Murphy too must have recognized at one point or another I dont know, by which people say things you've always been wanting to say but, being too afraid of the outrage and scandal it might generate, you didnt.
And then they say it, and nothing happens. No almighty crashes, no lightning smiting them down where they stand, no cries of anger or disbelief from those within earshot. And you feel like an idiot, because you probably thought of it first too.
Which is exactly what this is. In both ways.
